Breaking News: Prophet Magaya Arrested
By Maitengwe Post Staff Reporter

Harare — Police have confirmed that Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder, Prophet Walter Magaya, was arrested this morning by police detectives at his offices in Harare.

Details surrounding his arrest remain sketchy. Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi has issued an official statement confirming the development saying charges against the popular preacher were related to fraud and rape.

Magaya’s lawyer, Everson Chatambudza, said that he had not yet been fully briefed on the reasons for his client’s arrest.

“I can’t confirm what really is happening at this stage. I just heard that police were at his offices earlier this morning, but I’m still to get fuller details,” said Chatambudza.

Prophet Magaya, one of Zimbabwe’s most influential religious figures, has in the past been involved in several high-profile cases and controversies, though he has often maintained his innocence.

This is a developing story, and Maitengwe Post will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
