BREAKING: Woman caught on viral video assaulting minor arrested

The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested the woman who was caught on video assaulting a minor.

The woman was identified as Idah Mushayi from Marange.

On 22ND NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE ON A VIRAL VIDEO OF A WOMAN ASSAULTING A MINOR
The Zimbabwe Republic Police refers to its recent social media post regarding a disturbing video circulating online, showing a woman severely assaulting a minor whose hands and legs were tied.
Following investigations, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested the suspect, Idah Mushayi (27), who is the biological mother of the child. The incident occurred on 13th November 2025 at Village 28, Mount Zonzwe, Chief Marange, Odzi. The victim, an 11-year-old girl, was reportedly assaulted by the suspect over the alleged theft of USD11.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police condemns all forms of violence against children. We urge parents and guardians to correct and guide their children in a responsible and non-violent manner.
