Wicknell Chivayo Splashes US$182K Birthday Gift on ZANU PF Chief Whip Pupurai Togarepi

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again grabbed national attention after gifting ZANU PF Chief Whip Pupurai Togarepi a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 and US$100,000 in cash as a birthday present.

The extravagant gift was announced in a lengthy Facebook post, where Chivayo described Togarepi as a close friend, brother, and loyal party leader whose dedication to both Parliament and ZANU PF deserved recognition.

In his message, Chivayo extended belated birthday wishes to Togarepi, explaining that he was unable to attend the birthday celebrations at Crowne Plaza because he was away on a business trip in Dubai.

Reflecting on their long-standing friendship, Chivayo noted that Togarepi comes from the same area in Gutu as his family. He praised the ZANU PF chief whip for his leadership, commitment, and service to both the ruling party and the people of Zimbabwe through his work in Parliament.

Luxury SUV and Cash Reward

As part of the birthday celebration, Chivayo instructed Togarepi to collect a fully paid-for 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.8, valued at approximately US$82,000.

He also gifted him US$100,000 in cash, saying the money was intended to help him celebrate another milestone in his life.

In his Facebook post, Chivayo wrote:

Please go and see Victor and collect your brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.8 worth US$82,000, which has been fully paid for and is ready for collection. As a birthday gift for a great leader, please also receive US$100,000 in cash and celebrate another year added to your remarkable journey of life."

Adding a touch of humour, Chivayo joked that although Togarepi likely owns more luxurious vehicles, the new Fortuner could be used by his wife for everyday family errands.



Chivayo concluded his message by praying for God's protection, favour, and continued blessings upon Togarepi. He wished the senior politician many more years of good health, happiness, and success as he continues serving Zimbabwe.
