Tawanda Chirewa Joins Barnsley …

Sports Correspondent -English winger Tawanda Chirewa has left Wolverhampton Wanderers to join League One side Barnsley on a six-month loan deal.


The 22-year-old makes the move after struggling for regular playing time following his promotion to Wolves’ senior squad in early December.



Barnsley officially announced the signing, welcoming Chirewa to Oakwell. “Welcome to Oakwell, Tawanda Chirewa. The 22-year-old winger arrives on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season,” the club said.



Chirewa brings valuable Premier League experience to the League One side, having made ten appearances for Wolves since joining the club in 2023. He made his Premier League debut as a second-half substitute in a 0–0 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion on 22 January 2024.
