Victor Matemadanda Dies

Zimbabwe is mourning the death of Ambassador Victor Matemadanda, who passed away on Saturday night.

Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana confirmed the news on Sunday morning, describing Matemadanda’s death as a significant loss to both the government and the nation.

“Ambassador Victor Matemadanda passed away last night. This is a deeply saddening loss,” said Mangwana.

Matemadanda served as Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Mozambique and Eswatini, representing the country in diplomatic affairs. He was a controversial figure in Zimbabwe’s political circles.Gold smuggling investigation


Mangwana said the late ambassador served President Emmerson Mnangagwa faithfully during his tenure abroad.

“He represented His Excellency the President with dedication,” Mangwana added.
