Another UK-Based Zimbabwean, Mary Mumvuri, Appointed CEO

United Kingdom – Mary Mumvuri has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), marking another milestone for Zimbabwean professionals excelling on the global stage.
The Trust confirmed that Mumvuri, who has been serving as Chief Nursing Officer since 2022 and Acting CEO since August 2025, will assume the role with immediate effect.
Her appointment reflects a distinguished career within the National Health Service (NHS), underpinned by extensive leadership experience and a strong clinical foundation as a registered mental health nurse. CWPT Chair Eamonn Kelly welcomed the appointment, describing Mumvuri as an exceptional leader.

Mumvuri expressed gratitude for the appointment, highlighting the importance of inclusive and patient-driven healthcare delivery.

She added that she intends to build on the legacy of her predecessor, Mel Coombes, while working collaboratively with staff and partners to strengthen service delivery across the region.
CWPT provides a wide range of services, including mental health, learning disability, and children’s healthcare services, to communities across Coventry and Warwickshire.
