Amos Chibaya In Road Accident

Citizens international organiser Hon. Amos Chibaya was on Saturday caught up in a road traffic accident alongside fellow leaders Angeline Kasipo, Siboneni Mpofu,

Mavis Mashumba, and Trevor Phiri, in an incident that left some of them injured.
Hon. Chibaya and Mpofu were among those who sustained injuries when the accident happened on the afternoon of 11 April 2026 as the group was en route to Gokwe.

The vehicle they were travelling in suffered significant damage following the collision.


One of the occupants, identified as leader Chitsapi, was rushed to hospital to receive medical attention, while others escaped with minor injuries.




Speaking after the incident, Hon. Chibaya explained that the crash occurred after their vehicle struck a cow that unexpectedly ran into the road from a blind spot.


“The cow suddenly emerged from a blind spot while running, and we hit it,” he said.
