Wolverhampton Wanderers Partners with Momentum Academy to Develop Zimbabwean Football Talent

Harare, Zimbabwe – English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers has officially partnered with Momentum Academy in Harare, Zimbabwe, as part of the club’s global football development initiative.

Under the agreement, Wolves will share their coaching philosophy and curriculum with Momentum Academy, supporting both recreational and development levels. The partnership also includes online coaching education, annual visits by Wolves coaches to Zimbabwe for development and recreational camps, and opportunities for talented players to join the club’s Golden Chance programme. Selected Zimbabwean youth will also visit Wolverhampton to tour the club’s facilities, meet coaching staff, and train at Compton Park.

Shawn Briscoe, Wolves’ International Football Development Manager, expressed excitement about the collaboration. “Football has a unique power to connect communities and create opportunity,” he said. “Through this partnership, we aim to share knowledge, develop young talent, and build pathways that can inspire the next generation both on and off the pitch. Momentum Academy are doing fantastic work at the grassroots level, and we look forward to helping young players realise their potential and create lasting impact within their communities.”
