Cde Bombshell Runesu Geza’s Remains Return Home, Set for Burial in Sanyathi

The remains of Cde Runesu Geza, widely known as Bombshell, have arrived in Zimbabwe via Beitbridge Border Post from South Africa and are now en route to Sanyathi, where he is expected to be laid to rest.

Cde Bombshell passed away in South Africa last week while reportedly living in exile. He had become known for his outspoken opposition to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s reported desire to extend his rule to 2030.

In a development that many of his supporters have described as deeply ironic, a bill linked to the proposed extension was tabled and approved by Cabinet just a day after news of his death.

Family members, friends, and political sympathisers are expected to gather in Sanyathi to pay their final respects to a man remembered for his bold stance and unflinching political convictions.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
