Peter Ndlovu Takes Charge At Scottland FC As Club Targets Portuguese Coach
By Staff Reporter
Peter Ndlovu has been handed the responsibility of guiding Scottland FC on an interim basis following the dismissal of head coach Norman Mapeza and his entire technical team.
The former Warriors captain, who serves as the club’s team manager, was the only member of Mapeza’s backroom staff to survive the shake-up, which came just days after the Mabvuku-based side were eliminated from the CAF Champions League in Angola.
Ndlovu is expected to oversee the team while Scottland search for a permanent replacement, with sources indicating that the reigning Zimbabwean champions are targeting a Portuguese coach.

Ndlovu Takes Charge As Scottland Reshuffle Technical Team
Ndlovu has already begun overseeing the transition, holding a meeting yesterday with Danger Fourpence, who has been promoted from the Scottland Academy to join the coaching staff.
Veteran striker Knowledge Musona also attended the meeting. The forward has reportedly been tasked with ensuring that the players remain focused and committed to the club as they navigate the changes.
The appointment places Ndlovu at the centre of Scottland’s efforts to maintain stability during a crucial stage of the campaign, with the club still competing on two domestic fronts.
Portuguese Coach Targeted
Scottland are reportedly looking beyond Zimbabwe for Mapeza’s successor, with sources revealing that the club is targeting a coach from Portugal.
The club has four league matches remaining and is also through to the semi-finals of the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup, leaving the incoming coach with important assignments to prepare for.
Mapeza joined Scottland at the start of the season and appeared to be on course to deliver the league title after guiding the team to a seven-point lead midway through the campaign.
However, the club’s recent exit from the CAF Champions League appears to have been followed by a major change in the technical department, with the entire coaching staff dismissed alongside him.
Scottland And Petro Atletico Both Dismiss Coaches
In a notable twist, Scottland’s decision to part ways with Mapeza means both clubs involved in their CAF Champions League second-round encounter have now dismissed their respective coaches.
Angolan giants Petro Atletico de Luanda, who faced Scottland in the continental competition, have also parted ways with their coach.
For Ndlovu, the immediate task will be to help Scottland negotiate the remainder of the domestic season while the club works to appoint a permanent successor to Mapeza.
