Scottland FC head coach Norman Mapeza has moved to cool growing talk of a title challenge after his side climbed to the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League standings.
Despite the strong position, Mapeza insisted it is too early to think about silverware and called for patience and consistency as the season progresses.
“It’s early days (to start thinking about the title). For us, we just need to take the games as they come, collect maximum points and see what happens at the end of the season,” he said.
Knowledge Musona was the standout performer, scoring both goals before halftime to secure maximum points for Scottland.
The win briefly moved Scottland three points clear at the top, ahead of Hardrock, who still have a game in hand.
“What is important right now is to just focus on each game and maximum points,” Mapeza added.
